When it comes to Christmas meals we can do certain things to make it a bit better for us to eat!
Protein - Fill up on Turkey Breast - Add lemons and oranges when you cook it to retain flavour and keep it moist. This will help to keep you fuller for longer and alleviate sugar cravings.
Healthy Fats - Make sure you have some to help keep you feeling fuller for longer including oily fish during the day - Smoked salmon and eggs for your breakfast.
Have a snack of nuts before you reach for the chocolates.
Fill up on sprouts, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage - Steamed if you can!
Think about the amounts you serve, ie one pig in blankets per person so that you are not tempted to add more to your plate.
Dry roast your potatoes in the Air-fryer to keep the fat intake down.
Eat before you drink alcohol
Drinking on an empty stomach means that the alcohol that you consume is absorbed more quickly. Foods rich in good fats are the best choice, so opt for something like salmon or avocado.
